“I believe that Russia is not interested in further escalating the situation both in Donetsk and Luhansk. The genie is out of the bottle and those well-armed groups continue to rampage. I do not know if they continue to obey to the will of their inspirers,” the Lithuanian minister told the radio Žinių Radijas on Thursday.

Kiev reports that Russia has recently cut off electricity supply to the separatist-controlled areas, most probably due to unpaid bills. According to unofficial data, Russia used to supply electricity worth more than EUR 12 million every month to these territories.
