The events will be attended by member of the Lithuanian army’s Honour Guard Company and around 30 members of the Lithuanian clubs of medieval reenactments.

The Lithuanian delegation is scheduled to be visited by Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas on Saturday.

Enactments of the Battle of Žalgiris have been organized in Poland since 1998.

The battle took place on July 15, 1410, when the alliance of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, led respectively by King Wladyslaw II Jagiello (Jogaila) and Grand Duke Vytautas, decisively defeated the German–Prussian Teutonic Knights, led by Grand Master Ulrich von Jungingen. The victory changed the geopolitical situation of Lithuania and Poland.
